FAQ

  • What will I experience in the service?
You will experience blended music and a strong biblical message in a safe community environment.
  • What should I wear?
We do not have a dress code. We encourage you to come dressed comfortably.
  • What is available for my kids?
At Oak City, we have something for children of all ages both Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. Visit our KidCity page for more information.
  • What are your beliefs/mission?
Our mission is to exalt Jesus, equip believers, and evangelize the lost. Everything we do as a church filters into our mission as a local gathering of believers. Our goal is not to develop more and more programs to take up the majority of people’s lives. Our goal is to prayerfully plan and participate in ministry that equips, encourages, and empowers the Oak City family to do the work of ministry on our campus and in our communities. Visit our beliefs page for more information.

NEXT STEPS

We celebrate stages in a believer's life and we call those stages "Next Steps."

Salvation

Do you ever wonder: Why am I here? Is this all there is? Who am I? What happens when I die? Jesus matters because He came to answer our deepest questions.

Baptism

Baptism is both obedience to the command of Jesus (Matt. 28:19) and going public with your faith. This is the next step after Jesus has saved you.

Community

Perhaps you are looking for a safe place to believe and belong. At Oak City we have small groups of people that meet each Sunday morning to share life and study God’s Word together in community. We also have places to serve within our church whether it be teaching the Bible in small groups, singing or playing an instrument in our worship ministry, or simply welcoming others, we have plenty of places to get involved.

D-Groups

Discipleship groups or D-groups are small groups of people that gather weekly for the purpose of growing deeper in their relationships with Jesus. D-groups emphasize study, spiritual discipline, accountability, and replication in the context of life-on-life discipleship.
